Course Description

This course provides advanced training on the SAP R/3 basis technology and upgrade concepts.

Course Objectives

Upon completion, the trainee will gain advanced knowledge of the R/3 client/server architecture including servers, operating systems, networking concepts, databases and the R/3 basis components. The trainee will also have valuable hands-on experience preparing and upgrading the R/3 system, as well as post-upgrade activities. Furthermore, the trainee will be given tips on how to prepare for Certification by SAP.

Intended Audience

This course is intended for trainees with basic knowledge of client/server technology in the enterprise computing environment, who want to pursue work as an SAP Basis Administrator, or want to prepare for the SAP Certified Basis Consultant examinations.

Prerequisites

Trainees must have a basic knowledge of the client/server technology. Additionally, trainees would have a background in Operating Systems like UNIX, NT and RDBMS knowledge. Trainees must have attended the R/3 System Administration 1 course or equivalent. Basic understanding and knowledge of PC operation and Windows use.
