Proof

This is the bulk of the build to specifications, test migrations, refine the methods, test business and performance validations to ensure they meet SLA objectives, tune and prepare runbook for operation readiness.

Target Environment Build

• Install SAP “out-of-the-box”, or use appropriate SAP tools to clone the SAP kernel
• PATCH to appropriate level to match technology of the source environment, or latest recommended kernels
• Subsequent environments like QA, Prod can be cloned using OS or SAP tools to save time

Test Migrations

• Unload the source & load target databases
• Further patching on new platform if needed
• Adapt migration tools, scripts, and processes
• Adapt application and database profiles
• Functional testing
• Performance validation
• Install and adapt other support systems such as interfaces which are in-scope
• Migration check and modifications
